Afternoon Tea in Durham

Adorned Occasions our rentals and design company is celebrating its 10th year in business along with Farai Machina Events! We are so excited about this milestone! After a decade of transforming event spaces and creating amazing event experiences, we are inviting you to come and experience our event services alongside some of our preferred vendors. Get your Fascinator and dress up for this occasion! 

For your health and safety we are limiting the number of attendees per 1 hour by hosting 2 tea events.  Guest count will be within the venue capacity requirements by state health officials. Tables will be distanced. Limit to 2 guests per table. Temperature checks, Sanitizing stations will be onsite. Please pick the time that works for you.

What's on the Menu? Here is a little snippet!

• Cucumber and dill sandwiches, English Sausage Rolls in flaky pastry, English Tea scones with strawberry preserves and clotted cream, Red velvet cupcakes with Cream Cheese , Chocolate cupcakes with Vanilla Butter Cream, Strawberry lime pastry tart...Pastries paired with wide variety of international teas. Here are some tea options to be served: Youthberry, Rooibos, Early Grey ...Oh and ofcourse we will have a Decaffinated Tea option...

The concept of afternoon tea started in England in the 1840s when The Duchess of Bedford wanted a small bite between lunch and dinner. It started out as just tea and a small snack; but the popularity grew once she started inviting her friends over and it became a social gathering for the wealthy social class. Today, Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed by many a social events or gatherings.
